Marine fuel, without the friction

From Cairns to Hobart — priority bunkering at the east coast’s premier marinas and licensed bulk truck-to-yacht deliveries wherever your vessel sits.

What we coordinate

Two ways to fuel

Whether you’re alongside in the network or holding off a quiet anchorage, we move the fuel to the yacht — not the other way around.

Marina Fuel Supply

Priority access to marine diesel and ULP at premium berths across the east coast — pre-booked, pre-priced and ready when you arrive.

Bulk Fuel — Truck to Yacht

Direct bulk deliveries from licensed road tankers to your vessel, alongside or at slipway, with metered transfer and full reconciliation.

Quality, Compliance & Reporting

Clean, polished fuel to ISO 8217 / AS 3570 specifications, MARPOL Annex VI compliant, with batch certificates and SDS supplied on every delivery.

East coast network

Marina fuel supply

Through long-standing relationships with Australia’s leading marinas and bunker operators, Leigh-Smith clients receive priority hose time, pre-booked berths and consolidated invoicing across every fuel-up between Far North Queensland and Tasmania.

A single call to your account manager confirms grade, volume, tide window and any required pilotage — before you’ve cleared the previous port.

Bulk delivery

Truck direct to your yacht

For long passages, tight turnarounds or vessels berthed away from a fuel dock, we deploy licensed road tankers straight to the vessel — metered, certified and crew-supervised.

Step 01

Request a quote

Tell us the location, vessel, tank capacity, expected volume (litres) and fuel grade — marine diesel, premium diesel or unleaded.

Step 02

Price lock & scheduling

We confirm rack-linked pricing, delivery window and any marina or dock approvals required for tanker access.

Step 03

Tanker to yacht

A licensed bulk fuel tanker meets the vessel at marina, hardstand or slipway. Crew supervise hose connection, sounding and venting.

Step 04

Metered transfer & sign-off

Pumping through calibrated, certified meters with spill containment on deck. Quantity verified, batch certificate issued, invoice and SDS provided.

Why owners choose us

One fuel desk, every port

Frequently Asked

Fuel, answered

What is the minimum order for bulk truck-to-yacht delivery?

Tanker deliveries typically start from 2,000 litres, with single-drop capacity to 30,000+ litres. Smaller top-ups are best handled at marina bunker berths within our network.

How far in advance do I need to book?

48 hours is ideal for bulk deliveries and large marina bunkers; we routinely turn around urgent same-day requests on the Gold Coast, Sydney and the Whitsundays subject to tanker availability.

Do you supply premium / low-sulphur diesel?

Yes. We supply standard ULSD (10ppm), premium marine diesel with additive packages, and ULP 91/95/98. All grades meet AS 3570 and ISO 8217 specifications.

Can fuel be delivered while the yacht is on the hardstand?

Yes — provided the yard permits tanker access. We coordinate directly with the slipway operator on isolation, earthing and spill containment requirements.

Do you offer fuel cards or owner accounts?

Owners and captains can open a 30-day trade account covering every marina in the network and all bulk deliveries, with itemised monthly statements.

What about international yachts cruising Australian waters?

We coordinate duty-free bunkering for vessels on a Cruising Permit or under temporary importation, with customs documentation handled end-to-end.
